Bob Ryan is the President of Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers, Inc. A licensed Insurance Agent since 1980, he has been working as a full time insurance professional since 1985 when he joined his father at Robert J. Ryan, Inc, where he served as president until 2007. In 1986 he was awarded the prestigious Certified Insurance Counselor Designation. Bob is active in community affairs and entrepreneurial endeavors and is currently a board member at Benedictine Health Foundation serving as President, Slipit Industries, Inc., and a partner in Amsterdam Columbia Realty Inc. Bob had previously served as Vice President at Ulster Savings Bank and Chairman of the Board at Ulster County Development Corp., as well as President of the Kingston Boys & Girls Club. Bob was also one of the co-founders of the Shamrock Run and served as one of the co-organizers for 25 years from 1989 till 2013, raising thousands each year for local charities.
Operations Manager Jeanne Beck joined our team in 2009 and brings over 25 years of experience with her to Ryan & Ryan, having worked in virtually all aspects of the insurance industry. She is a NY Licensed Property and Casualty Broker, and past President of Applied Client Network's Hudson Valley Chapter. Jeanne was honored by the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) as the agency staff person of the year in 1996.
Kristin Bradley is the newest member of the Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers team. She is a licensed New York State Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Broker and has been working in the insurance industry since 2015.
Kristin was born and raised in Ulster County, is a graduate of Syracuse University, and is now raising her family here with her husband Rian.
Jackie Covert started working in the insurance field in 1987 and joined the Ryan and Ryan team in May of 2009. She brings over 22 years of commercial insurance experience with her, and is valued and respected for the relationships she builds with each and every client with whom she interacts.
Kathleen DiBella brings over 35 years of insurance experience to Ryan and Ryan Insurance and is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty broker. Her focus is new business for personal and commercial Insurance and servicing our existing customers. She worked for Robert J Ryan Inc for over 20 years and now joins Ryan and Ryan Insurance. She is also a member of the Hudson Valley Business Alliance group and serves as secretary of the group.
Ann Dippel began her insurance career in 1974 as a Customer Service Rep with the Morris Agency in New Paltz, NY, which was owned by Frank Reis and Bob Ryan's father. From 1976 to 1985 Ann left the world of insurance to manage the office of her family owned business.
By 1996, the insurance "bug" was reawakened and Ann joined the Reis Turck Agency where she worked until they were purchased by Ryan and Ryan Insurance Brokers in January 2011.
During the past eleven years Ann has also taught Insurance Continuing Education classes.
Kerri Letersky of Kingston was promoted to an Account Manager position after previously working as a receptionist at Ryan & Ryan for two and a half years. She learned about the business and became licensed in 2015. She then spent time transitioning from reception to become an account manager.
Kerri is actively involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and participates in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
DiMara Pagano, the friendly voice that answers the phone when you call, joined the Ryan & Ryan Team in November 2019. She is new to the Insurance field with prior experience as a Receptionist in a medical office.
As our Receptionist she juggles the phones, clerical, and many other duties assisting other staff members.
DiMara is currently working on obtaining her NYS Property & Casualty Brokers License.
Our accountant, Marc Reuben, has more than 50 years of experience in the accounting field, over 27 years with local CPA firms. He is another original Ryan & Ryan team member, joining on a part-time basis in 2009 after a one year retirement. Marc has enjoyed working for Bob Ryan for over 17 years, and is associated with Bob’s affiliate company, Slipit Industries, Inc.
Theresa Scull of Port Ewen joined our Team in 2017. She previously worked for Bob Ryan for many years at his prior Agency and brings with her over 20 years of experience. Theresa handles all types of personal and commercial insurance as we as new business sales. Her career has always involved customer service with positive client relations. She currently holds a NYS Property & Casualty Brokers License.
Jeffrey W. Smith, CIC LUTCF is a graduate of Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and has worked in Agricultural Insurance since 1995. Well versed in many areas of personal and business insurance, Jeff has continued to specialize in Agricultural Insurance since joining Ryan & Ryan as an Account Executive in 2010. His high level of technical agribusiness expertise and his unique combination of insurance and agricultural knowledge makes him a valuable resource for any farm or ranch in Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. Jeff is an active community volunteer with the New Paltz Rotary Club, and currently serves as their Treasurer.
Kim Whelan has been a New York State Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Broker since 2005 and a New York State Licensed Life and Health Broker since 2006. She currently holds her Certified Insurance Services Representative (CISR) designation and is working towards her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Kim does new business sales and service of all types of commercial and personal insurance, but specializes in the restaurant and hospitality fields.
Yvonne Wynkoop is a licensed Life, Accident & Health Broker with Ryan & Ryan. After earning her Bachelors Degree from Marist College she worked with some of New York's leading health insurers including CDPHP, EmblemHealth, and WellCare. Yvonne joined Ryan & Ryan in 2009. She uses her solid understanding of the health industry to create strategic plans and funding methodologies for a diverse client base. Her passion to earn business has put her on the speed dial of many of the area's top employers. Yvonne is a member of the The National Association of Health Underwriters and Mid-Hudson Human Resources Association. She is an active volunteer with several theatre and arts organizations, and a certified literacy tutor.
