Annabelle’s Village Bake Shop, November’s Client of the Month, is a bakery located at 7501 North Broadway in Red Hook, NY. Owned and operated by Anne O’Doherty, the bakery just celebrated its third birthday in October, and is home to a delicious selection of sweets and treats.
Although the shop opened just a few years ago, Anne has been baking ever since she was a little girl. Annabelle’s sells a wide variety of sweet and savory baked goods, including cookies, cupcakes, muffins, danish, croissants, quiche, pies, tarts, scones, assorted bars (apple pie, pecan, pumpkin, raspberry, and peanut butter), and more! (Although if you stop into the bakery and can only get one thing, the raspberry bars are a must—they’re Annabelle’s “signature” treat!) The bakery also accepts custom orders for all of their items. More elaborate custom fondant and tiered cakes require a 5-7 day notice, while basic cakes can be made with just a 3-4 day notice.
Annabelle’s is currently open Wednesday through Sunday from 7am-3pm. Patrons are invited to stop in and view their selection of treats, but for those that feel more comfortable staying in their car, call ahead curbside pickup is available (just call the bakery at 845-835-6071).
The bakery is approaching their busy season, and Anne is extremely grateful for her seven employees. In her words, “We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without each of them!” And speaking of busy season, Annabelle’s is now taking pre-orders for Thanksgiving pies. They will have apple, pecan, and pumpkin available, along with assorted boxes of cookies and bars. Their holiday menu will soon be available on their Facebook page, website, and in the shop.
Annabelle’s has been insured by Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers since the shop opened its doors in October 2017. When asked why they chose R&R as their insurance agency, Anne responded by saying:
“I have known Bob since we were young—our fathers were both in the insurance business! I have had my personal insurance with Ryan and Ryan for the last thirteen years. So, when it came time to open the bake shop, it made sense to choose Ryan and Ryan. The staff is attentive and always very helpful, approachable, and knowledgeable. We have been very happy with the level of customer service Ryan and Ryan provides!”
