Hurley Veterinary Hospital, September’s Client of the Month, is a state-of-the-art animal hospital, located at 509 Hurley Avenue in Hurley.
Owner Dr. Mark Rosenberg, the hospital’s head veterinarian, purchased the Hurley Veterinary Hospital in February 2000. He works alongside his wife, Donna, the hospital’s financial officer, and 32 other employees (doctors, technicians, assistants, reception, and kennel staff).
The hospital, which is known throughout Ulster County for its thorough diagnostics and unsurpassed level of compassionate care, sees more than 8,000 patients a year! They work with animals of all kinds, including house pets (like dogs, cats, and birds), horses, farm animals, and even exotics such as llamas, alpacas, and bison.
Hurley Veterinary Hospital offers a wide array of services, including regular exams and vaccines for animals, dentistry, radiology, ultrasounds, pet boarding, house and farm calls, and surgery.
Dr. Rosenberg has owned Hurley Veterinary Hospital for more than 20 years, and the hospital has been insured by Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers for most of those years. When asked why the hospital chose R&R as their insurance agency, Donna responded by stating:

The Rosenbergs are very involved in the local community, working with farm sanctuaries and local shelters. They always make themselves available to answer their clients’ questions, even after hours, and every client is special to the hospital’s staff. “We’ve watched clients bring their kids in with their pets and now their kids are grown and bringing in their pets to us. It’s a truly rewarding experience.” said Donna.
